BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne women's tennis team dropped two matches to UT-Dallas and UT-Tyler this weekend at the Nabers Tennis Center.

On Friday, the Lady Jackets fell to the University of Texas at Dallas 9-0. The closest doubles match of the day was the number three spot with HPU's Andrea Leonard and Whitney Turnacliff falling 8-6 to UT-Dallas.

Results

Saturday the HPU women dropped a 9-0 decision to the University of Texas at Tyler. In number one singles play HPU's Joan Burks was able to take the first set of her match 6-3 but would drop the next two sets 6-0 and 6-0.

The Lady Jackets are now 2-2 overall on the year. Howard Payne will play next at home on March 1st versus McMurry University at 1:00 pm
