Jacket Tennis Loses To D-II McMurry

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne men's tennis lost to NCAA D-II McMurry University 9-0 Friday afternoon in non-conference action at the Nabers Tennis Center.

Results

HPU's Luis Vallecillo would fall in a highly contested match 6-4, 3-6, 10-6 to Chris Breaux of McMurry in number one singles action.

WIll Thomas would drop a first set tie breaker and fall to Preston Steblein of McMurry 7-5, 6-2 in number three singles play.

The Yellow Jackets are now 1-4 overall and McMurry Improves to 6-1 overall. Howard Payne will play next on Saturday at home versus NCAA D-II Dallas Baptist at 11:00 am.
