Lady Jackets Lose 8-0 To D-II DBU

BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne women's tennis team fell 8-0 to NCAA D-II Dallas Baptist University Saturday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.

Results

The number five singles match was the closest of the afternoon going to a third set. HPU's Cathryn Rasbury would fall to DBU's Alexa Mentesana 5-7, 6-1, 10-5.

The Lady Jackets played a player down and lost the number three doubles and number singles by default.

Howard Payne is now 3-4 overall and DBU stands at 5-4 overall. The Lady Jackets will play next on March 8th versus Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
