BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne men's tennis team dropped an ASC West Division match 8-1 to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Saturday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.

In number double play, HPU's Luis Vallecillo and Jeremy Rodriguez defeated Tevin Ogo and John Martin 8-6. HPU fell in the other two doubles matches 8-1 and 8-4.

Jeremy Rodriguez narrowly lost the number three single match 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) to Colin Davies of UMHB.

The Jackets are now 2-8 overall and 1-2 in conference. Howard Payne will play next on April 13th in Seguin versus Texas Lutheran.
