BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne women's soccer team capped back to back home wins this Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 victory over visiting Louisiana College. Lady Jackets clinch playoff berth with victory. 

HPU's Marley Zochert scored from the far right wing on a Courtney Turner assist in the 10th minute. 

The Lady Jackets scored twice in the first four minutes of the second to put the game out of reach for Louisiana College. 

Taylor Bicknell scored from the right wing just 1:24 into the second period on a Vivian Nguyen assist. Vivian would score herself on a header just over two minutes later on a Courtney Turner assist from the top of the box. 

Goal Keeper Kelsie Piland got her seventh shut out win of the season pairing with Shelby Spaulding who played the final 27 minutes of the match. 

HPU finishes the regular season at 9-7-1 overall and 4-4-1 in conference. LC finishes their season at 2-15-0 overall and 1-8-0. Howard Payne will make the American Southwest conference tournament for just the third time in the programs history. The conference tournament will begin next Thursday details will be released by the conference office Monday morning.
