Jacket Tennis Falls 8-1 To Schreiner

KERRVILLE, Texas - The Howard Payne men's tennis team lost 8-1 to Shreiner University in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.

Howard Payne would drop all three double matches 8-4, 8-1 and 8-2. In the number one doubles spot, it was HPU's Will Thomas and Andrew Harding falling to Austin Carrola and Stephan Rogers of Schreiner 8-4.

In number four singles play, it was Edgar Torres who defeated Schreiner's Brice Conoly 6-2, 7-5 for the Jackets only singles team point.

Howard Payne is now 0-4 overall and Schreiner improves to 3-4 on the year. The Jackets will play next on Thursday, Feb. 27th versus Texas Lutheran University at the Nabers Tennis Center.
