BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne men's tennis team fell 9-0 to non-conference opponent Texas Lutheran University Thursday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.

The Yellow Jackets dropped all three double matches 8-1, 8-4 and 8-1. In the number two double match, Henry Moon and Gunner Robison of TLU defeated Edgar Torres and Will Thomas of HPU 8-4.

In single play it was Edgar Torres who played the best for the Jackets falling in the number four singles to Greg Nelson of TLU 2-6, 6-2, 10-8.

Howard Payne is 0-5 overall and Texas Lutheran stands at 3-1 overall in team play. The Jackets will play next on Saturday versus East Texas Baptist at 9:00 am at the Nabers Tennis Center.
