Jackets Lose To Ozarks

Box Score CLARKSVILLE, Ark - The University of the Ozarks used 54% shooting from behind the arc to down the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets 83-73 Saturday afternoon in conference basketball action.

Both teams played to a 38-38 tie in the first half. Ozarks hit seven second half three point buckets and outscored the Yellow Jackets by ten to claim the 83-73 conference win.

Brandon Gould led Howard Payne with 19 pointsalong with seven rebounds and four assists. Quelan Lancaster had 13 points and 11 rebounds. Donovan Ford finished with 17 points off the bench.

Ricky Allen led Ozarks with a game high 23 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists. Josh Ferrell had 15 points. Ted Beard added 15 points and 10 rebounds.

The Jackets are now 4-17 overall and 4-14 in conference. Ozarks stands at 7-14 overall and 5-13 in ASC action. Howard Payne will play next on Thursday at home versus Mississippi College at 7:30 pm.
