Jackets Fall To Friends Univ 7-2

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne men's tennis would only be able to take one doubles and one singles point in a 7-2 non-conference loss to Friends University Tuesday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.

After dropping the number one and two doubles matches 8-4 and 8-4, the Lady Jackets would take the number three doubles to gain their first point of the afternoon.

Drew Lambert and Austin Upchurch defeated Jacob Thayer and Patrick Trollman of Friends 8-5 in number three doubles action.

Howard Payne would drop all the singles matches accept the number four spot. HPU's Edgar Torres defeated Stefan Nikolic of Friends 6-3, 4-6, 12-10.

Howard Payne is now 0-9 on the year and Friends stands at 3-4 overall. The Jackets will play next at home on March 28th at 1:00 pm versus Sul Ross State.
