Lady Jackets Lose To Patriots

TYLER, Texas - The Howard Payne women's tennis team fell 9-0 to ASC power Universaity of Texas at Tyler Saturday afternoon on the road.

Howard Payne clinched an American Southwest Conference tournament bid the day before in an 8-1 victory over Louisiana College but wiuld fall 9-0 to UT-Tyler.

The closest match of the day for the Lady Jackets was the number one doubles match when Chesney Goza and Brittony Walker lost 8-3 to Amy Friesenhahn and Tori Musngi  of UT-Tyler.

Howard Payne is now 5-9 overall and 4-5 in ASC play. UT-Tyler stands at 13-6 overall and 9-0 in conference. Howard Payne will finish out the regular season on April 11th in Abilene versus Hardin-Simmons University.
