CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas – The Lady Jacket soccer team fell 1-0 in their match against The Ozarks on Saturday afternoon.
Both teams were neck and neck throughout the match, but it was The Ozarks who scored the match's only goal in the 19th minute off a header from a corner kick.
Howard Payne finished with 12 total shots, five being on goal.
Courtney Turner had three shots with two on goal.
Elliott Gray and
Alex Bernal each had two shots with one on goal.
Nicole Goodwin played the entire 90 minutes in goal and picked up five saves allowing one goal.
The Ozarks finished with 10 shots with six being on goal. Brittanie Gragg had three shots with two on goal and picked up the goal. Tiffany Robinson assisted on the goal. Frances Adams had three shots with three on goal. Megan Bradford played 90 minutes in the goal picking up five saves.
Howard Payne is now 3-8-2 on the year and 2-6-2 in conference action. The Ozarks are 5-9-2 with a conference record of 4-4. The Lady Jackets will be back in action on Thursday, October 29th, as they host Belhaven University at 1:00 p.m.
