SEGUIN, Texas - The Howard Payne men's tennis team fell 8-1 at Texas Lutheran University Thursday in non-conference action.

Marshall McIntosh and Mitchell Sostarich of Howard Payne defeated Greg Nelson and Wade Dillenbeck in number two doubles 8-6 for the only team point for the Yellow Jackets in the match.

In the closest match of the day, Edgar Torres fell 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-8) in number one singles play. Torres with Drew Lambert lost 8-4 in number one double action.

Howard Payne is now 0-4 overall and Texas Lutheran stands at 3-4 overall. The Jackets will play next on Saturday versus the University of the Ozarks at the Nabers Tennis center in Brownwood starting at 9:00 am.
