BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne softball team fell 13-0 to #19 Louisiana College Friday afternoon at Lady Jackets field.

Howard Payne played solid defense versus ranked Louisiana College for five innings. But it was the three run sixth and eight run seventh that did the Lady Jackets in.

HPU held LC to just two runs on two hits in the first five innings. LC then scored 11 runs on 10 hits with Howard Payne committing four errors in the final two frames.

The Lady Jackets were held to just three hits in the game one each by Gaby Muniz, Erin McLeod and Cherita George.

Tayler Rushing gave up 13 runs, only one earned, on 15 hits in the complete game loss for HPU.,

Howard Payne is now 8-20 overall and 4-16 in conference play. Louisiana College stands at,20-5 overall and 15-2 ASC action. The Lady Jackets will play next on April 10-11 in Alpine, Texas versus Sul Ross State University.,
