BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team dropped a non-conference match 9-0 to Texas Lutheran University Saturday afternoon at the Naber Tennis Center.

The Jackets started the match dropping all three doubles matchups. Edgar Torres and Drew Lambert fell 8-4 in number one doubles play in the most competitive spot of the match.

In number two doubles Joaquin Alonzo and Noah Marlin fell 8-2 and in number three doubles Jacob Hernandez and Isaac Williams lost 8-1.

Howard Payne is now 1-8 overall on the year and Texas Lutheran stands at 7-5 overall. Howard Payne will play next on March 25th versus the University of Texas at Dallas in Brownwood at 1:00 pm.
