BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team lost 9-0 to the University of Texas at Dallas Friday aftenoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.
ResultsHoward Payne dropped all three doubles matches to start the day. In number one doubles, 
Edgar Torres and 
Drew Lambert lost 8-3, in number two doubles 
Joaquin Alonzo and 
Noah Marlin lost 8-2 and in the number three doubles spot 
Jacob Hernandez and 
Isaac Williams fell 8-1.
The Jackets would fall in straight sets in all the remaining singles matches on the day. The most competative being 
Edgar Torres's number one singles match losing 6-3, 6-2.
Howard Payne is now 1-9 overall and 0-1 in American Southwest Conference West Division play. UT-Dallas stands at 2-1 overall and 1-0 in league play. The Jackets will play next on Tuesday, March 29th at home versus Southwestern University. It will be a 3:30 pm start time at the Nabers Tennis Center.
