BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Lady Jackets took to Citizens National Bank Field to face Concordia University this afternoon. After playing the Tornados tough for the first 45th minute, the ladies allowed one goal in the second and Concordia ran away with the 1-0 victory. 

Howard Payne used the duo of Nicole Goodwin and Shelby Spaulding at goalkeeper and combined, they saw 22 shots, 12 shots coming on goal. Each had six saves to help give the Yellow Jackets a fighting chance in the match. 

Despite playing the Tornados tough all game, in the 53rd minute, Concordia picked up a penalty and used the PK to kick a goal in the back of the net during the 53rd minute to pull away with the victory. 

Howard Payne had two shots on goal, one coming from Lynsie Anderson and the other coming from Tyla Tipton. 

Other than the two shots on goal, the Lady Jackets had difficulty keeping possession and some gritty play led to Concordia receiving six corner kicks and one penalty kick. It proved to be the difference in the match. 

Kaitlyn Harrison, Tyla Tipton and Lynsie Anderson all played a complete 90 minute game and Taylor Bicknell added two shots in the loss.

The Lady Jacket will next take to the field in a ASC road matchup vs. McMurray University. Game time is set for 2:00 pm on Friday, September 30th.
