BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team fell 9-0 to LeTourneau University Friday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.

HPU's Ryan Barrett and Andrew Lambert played the most competitive double match for the Jackets losing to Jimmie Henson and Daniel Lopez of LeTourneau 8-4 in number two doubles.

Gabe Benitez and Edgar Torres fell 8-3 in number one doubles and Noah Marlin and Brandon McGibeny lost 8-2 in number three doubles play.

Gabe Benitez was also solid in number three singles play for Howard Payne falling to Letu's Christian Farris 6-3, 6-3.

Howard Payne will play next on Sat., March 11th at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas versus Texas Lutheran University at 6:00 pm. The Jackets will play Hendrix College on Sunday, March 12th at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin , Texas.
