BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team fell 8-1 to Concordia Texas and 9-0 to Mary Hardin-Baylor this weekend in conference action.
It was a tough weekend for the Yellow Jackets dropping two American Southwest Conference matches this weekend at the Nabers Tennis Center.
On Friday versus Concordia Texas, Howard Payne would pick up the number one singles point. HPU''s
Edgar Torres defeated Holt Fields of CTXÂ 6-7 (2-7), 6-4, 6-3. HPU was also competitive in number one and two doubles matches dropping both 8-5.

On Saturday versus Mary Hardin-Baylor, the Jackets again were most competitive in double action felling 8-4 and 8-3 in number one and two doubles respectively.

Howard Payne is now 0-13 overall and 0-4 in American Southwest Conference action. The Jackets will play next on April 14th at the University of Texas at Dallas starting at 3:30 pm.
