LONGVIEW, Texas - The Howard Payne University volleyball team finished the American Southwest Conference crossover tournament right with a 3-0 (25-12, 27-25, 25-14) victory over tournament host LeTourneau University Saturday afternoon. 

Howard Payne would get off to a quick start in the first set, going on a 10-2 to open up a 15-5 lead and never look back while holding the LeTourneau to a 0.091 attack percentage in the set. 

Set two would be the closest set of the match as LETU held a lead for a majority of the set. HPU would trail 23-21 before tying the match at 23-23 and eventually came out on top of a 27-25 set victory to go up two sets to none. 

In the third set, Howard Payne would look to put the match away after trailing 4-2 early on before going on a 14-2 run to take a 16-6 lead en route to a 25-14 set win to sweep the match. 

HPU's Zhartezia Bradley led all attackers with 12 kills followed by Macy Maniscalo with eight. Cheyanne Lovelady led all with 31 assists. Jordan Livingston finished with 11 digs and Jazmine Bridges followed with 10.

Howard Payne is now 5-10 overall and 3-3 in American Southwest Conference
