BELTON, Texas – The Howard Payne University men's basketball team fell 87-70 to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Thursday evening in conference action.
The Yellow Jackets would only shoot 35% from the field in the game while Mary Hardin-Baylor was 47% from the field. UMHB also hit 11 of 22 three-point buckets.
Howard Payne was led by
Khyce Randall with a game high 30 points connecting on 5 of 11 three point shots.
Thomas Bingham pulled down a game high nine rebounds.
Brian Long led UMHB with 19 points followed by Sam Moore and Shaq Martin with 14 and 13 points respectively.
Howard Payne is now 7-12 overall and 3-8 in American Southwest Conference action. UMHB stands at 14-5 overall and 7-4 in league play. The Jackets will play next at Concordia University Texas in Austin, Texas on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
