BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team opened the 2018 team season with a 6-3 loss to Concordia University Texas Saturday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.
The Yellow Jackets took two of three doubles points to start the match. HPU number one doubles
Gabe Benitez and
Benjamin Blanchard won 8-6 and number three doubles
Noah Marlin and Abe Cooper won by default.
Howard Payne would only claim one singles point with
Noah Marlin winning in number six singles by default.
Howard Payne's next match will be on Friday, Feb. 2nd versus Texas Lutheran University in neutral site match in Kerrville, Texas.
