BELTON, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team fell 9-0 to conference opponent Mary Hardin-Baylor Thursday afternoon.

Howard Payne started the match dropping all three doubles points, 8-1, 8-2 and 8-3. 

The Jackets would also struggle against the veteran UMHB team falling in straight sets in singles play.

Howard Payne is now 1-17 overall and 0-4 in American Southwest Conference action. UMHB stands at 3-4 overall and 2-0 in league play. The Jackets will play next on Saturday at Concordia in Austin, Texas.
