AUSTIN, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team fell 8-1 to conference opponent Concordia University Texas Saturday afternoon.

Despite dropping all three doubles points, the HPU number one doubles team of Gabe Benitez and Benjamin Blanchard play solid falling 8-6.

The highlight of the match for the Jackets was Andrew Stevenson's number four singles play winning 4-6, 6-4, 11-9 to give HPU its only point of the match.

Howard Payne is 1-18 overall and Concordia stands at 8-4 on the year. The Yellow Jackets will finish out their season on April 21st in Alpine, Texas versus Sul Ross State University at 10:00 am.
