BROWNWOOD, Texas - Despite very strong play from Howard Payne University's number one doubles team, the Lady Jackets dropped a non-conference match with Schreiner University 5-0 Tuesday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.

HPU's Erin McCleer and Erin Blanchard played Schreiner's number one doubles team to the brink but fell in the end 9-7.

The Lady Jackets would go on to drop the number two and three doubles points 8-0 and 8-0.

Both programs decided to play till decision. So with HPU losing the number five and six singles points 6-0 and 6-0 the match ended in a 5-0 Schreiner decision.

The Lady Jackets will play at home next on March 9th versus Southwestern Christian University at 10:00 am and the University of the Southwest at 3:00 pm.
