Lady Jackets Drop Match Against Tigers

Brownwood, TX – The Howard Payne University's women's tennis team lost to East Texas Baptist University on Friday, falling 0-9.
 
In doubles action, Katelynn Lovel and Brittany Sutton fought in a close match in number two doubles, losing 6-8.
 
Lexie Nave lost in number one singles 3-6, 1-6 to Elisa Kendall. Zoe Sprayberry fought hard in number two singles, losing 4-6, 2-6 to Ashley Schenck. And in number six singles, Zaylie Sanchez fought back in her match, finishing 1-6, 4-6 against Kylee Mixon.
 
The Lady Jackets are now 0-6 on the season. The Lady Jackets will play again Saturday, February 27th at 10:00 am against Texas Lutheran University in Mason, Texas.
