BROWNWOOD, Texas- The Howard Payne University women's soccer team defeated Concordia University Texas 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Citizen's National Bank Field.
Howard Payne got on the board first.
Carrie Gerdes scored in the 26th minute and was assisted by
Kendra Cecil.
Concordia tied the game in the 44th minute, making the score 1-1 at the halfway mark.
The Lady Jackets took the 2-1 lead in the 70th minute of the game.
Lindsey Schiller scored and was assisted by
Kaegan Sims and
Marisah Mata.

Delaney Castor played all 90 minutes and recorded nine saves and allowed one goal.
The Lady Jackets were able to hold off the tornados and claim the 2-1 victory.
Howard Payne ends the season 1-7 overall and 1-6 in conference play. Concordia ends the season 1-6-1 overall and 1-6-0 in the conference.Â
