Lady Jackets Win Conference Match

BROWNWOOD, Texas- The Howard Payne University women's tennis team won 9-0 against Sul Ross State University on Saturday.
 
Lexie Nave and Zoe Sprayberry won 8-2 in number one doubles. Katelynn Lovel and Blair Ballard won 8-4 in number two doubles. And Zaylie Sanchez and Danielle Sanchez won 8-3 in number three doubles.
 
Lexie Nave won 6-3, 6-0 in number one singles. Katelynn Lovel made a comeback in number three singles, winning 6-3, 3-6(10-6). And Blair Ballard fought hard in number four singles, winning 6-4, 4-6(10-1).
 
The Lady Jackets are now 1-12 on the season. The Jackets will play again on Saturday, April 24th at 2:00 p.m. versus McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.
