BROWNWOOD, Texas- The Howard Payne University women's tennis team lost to Texas Lutheran University 7-2 Friday afternoon at the Early tennis courts. 

In doubles action, Trinity Johnson and Mikayla Hernandez teamed up to win number three doubles 8-5.

Lexie Nave lost a close 6-4, 6-3 battle in number one singles. Trinity Johnson won number six singles 6-2.

The Lady Jackets will compete next in the women's ITA regional tournament in Houston, Texas, on October 1-3.
