BROWNWOOD, Texas- Victory for the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets in their last home game of the season! They defeated the McMurry University War Hawks 1-0!
 
They Yellow Jackets were able to score a goal in the first half. This goal was shot by Daniel Hernandez off of a penalty kick in the 8^th minute of the game. This is the second consecutive game that the Yellow Jackets defense has allowed zero goals.
 
HPU took nine shots total on the game. Daniel Hernandez led in shot attempts with six shots. Oscar De Santiago had two shots, and Julio Colmenares took one.

The Yellow Jackets are now 6-6-2 on the season and 3-3 in conference play. The Yellow Jackets compete in Alpine, Texas versus Sul Ross State University. The game will be on Saturday, Oct. 22^nd, at 3:30pm!
