LONGVIEW, Texas- Ending on a positive note, the Howard Payne University Lady Jackets won their last conference game of the season 3-2 against LeTourneau University!

The Lady Jackets were able to get the game started quickly with a goal by Katie Burnside in the 7^th minute. Just a few minutes later, Kate Recendez scored another goal for the Lady Jackets in the 10^th minute of the game off of a pass from Shaylea Bolton. At the 30-minute mark, HPU's Hannah Noel scored a goal with assists from Regan Noel and Addie Carroll. With an action packed first half, LETU was able to get off two goals in the last five minutes of the half. With no goals scored in the second half, the game ended 3-2.
 
HPU took a total of 17 shots with ten of them on goal. Leading the team in shot attempts was Brenna Douthit with four shots total. She was followed by Kate Recendez and Hannah Noel each with three total shots. Shaylea Bolton also took two shots total.
 
In goal for HPU during the first half, was Emily Williamson with three saves total. During the second half, Stephanie Sanders recorded two saves for the Lady Jackets.
 
The Lady Jackets ended the 2022 season 5-9-2 overall, and 1-6-1 in ASC conference play.
