Lady Jackets Battle The Tornados

AUSTIN, Texas- The Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets fell on the road to the Concordia University Texas Tornados 2-0.

The Tornados scored a goal in the first half, making the score 1-0 at halftime. Their last goal was a penalty kick goal in the second half. In goal for all 90 minutes was Emily Williamson and she recorded one save for the Lady Jackets.
 
HPU took a total of six shots during the game, with five on goal. Hannah Noel had two shots on goal, Karlee Friebele took two shots with one on goal, and Ella Alvarado and Veaney Cazares had one shot on goal each.
 
The Lady Jackets are now 5-5-1 on the season and 1-2 in conference play. The Lady Jackets will play University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. They will compete on Saturday, Oct. 8th, at 5:00 pm!
