BROWNWOOD, Texas – Howard Payne University's
Myles Brown scored a career high 24 points in an 89-73 Yellow Jacket loss to East Texas Baptist University Thursday evening at the Brownwood Coliseum.
Despite the Yellow Jackets forcing five more turnovers than they committed (19-14), it was ETBU's 50-32 rebounding advantage and HPU shooting 39.4% from the field that was the difference in the game.
East Texas Baptist used 59.2% shooting in the second half to pull away from Howard Payne in the 89-73 final.

Frederick Watts was his eighth double -double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Jaylan Ballou added 16 points, five rebounds and four assists.
ETBU was led by Darry Moore with 20 points Aaron Gregg added 19 points, 14 rebounds and five assists.
Howard Payne is now 5-15 overall and 4-11 in American Southwest Conference action. ETBU stands at 11-9 overall and 9-6 in league play. The Jackets are scheduled to play next on Saturday at home versus Belhaven University at 3:00 pm.
