Lady Jackets Finish Out Series With War Hawks

ABILENE, TEXAS – The Howard Payne Lady Jacket softball team lost to the McMurry University Warhawks in game three, 1-6.
 
The Lady Jackets scored the first run of the game in the second inning on an RBI single to left center from Madison Love advancing Patricia Davila home.
 
McMurry added six runs in the fourth inning leading to the 1-6 loss.
 
Elaine Gonzalez led the Jackets at the plate going 1-for-1 with a single up the middle. Madison Love was 1-for-2, Madison Forrester and Alexia Perkkio each went 2-for-4.
 
Bree Cason was the starting pitcher recording six runs on seven hits. Heather Wineman was the reliever pitching the remaining 2.0 innings and recording zero runs on two hits. 

The Lady Jackets will finish out the regular season next weekend at home against Mary Hardin-Baylor. It will be senior weekend and the seniors will be recognized on Saturday.
