BROWNWOOD, Texas- This Tuesday afternoon, Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets tied 3-3 against Texas College at Citizens National Bank Field. 
 
The Yellow Jackets had a total of 15 shots with ten on goal in comparison to Texas College's six shots with four on goal. Eduardo Flores was in goal for all 90 minutes with one save.
 
HPU's first goal was a penalty kick by Oscar De Santiago in the 28^th minute of the game. Just one minute later, Ethan Mauldin scored a goal to make the score 2-0. Texas College responded with a goal in the 35^th minute to finish the half 2-1. Texas College had the first goal of the second half in the 59^th minute. Alexander Paz had a goal in the 80^th minute to put HPU in the lead 3-2. With just five minutes left, the Steers scored their last goal to tie the game.
 
The Yellow Jackets are now 1-2-2 on the season. Another home game this Friday, Sept. 16^th at 3:00 pm! HPU will be competing against Schreiner University!
