BROWNWOOD, Texas- The Howard Payne University Lady Jackets volleyball team dropped to Sul Ross State University 3-0 this evening.
 
The first two sets of the match ended by the close scores of 25-21 and 25-19. The third set ended 25-16.
 
HPU's libero, Hannah Vega, led the team in digs with eleven, followed by Riley Brittain with eight. Brittain also had a total of 24 assists to lead the Lady Jackets. Mitsue Rodriguez and Rylee Spencer both had six kills, Spencer also with three aces. Leaders for blocks were Abbie Knepper and Rylee Spencer with two blocks each.
 
The Lady Jackets are now 1-9 on the season. They will be on the road this Friday, Sept. 23^rd, at 6:00 pm. The Lady Jackets will compete against UT Dallas in Richardson, Texas!
