SHERMAN, Texas - Howard Payne University's Alexander Paz had a hat trick in a 3-2 non-conference victory at Austin College Tuesday evening.

Howard Payne's Alexander Paz scored the game winner in the 84th minute on an assist by Julio Colmenares. Paz got the Yellow Jacket scoring going in the match scoring six minutes in the game with a header on an assist by Daniel Hernandez. Scoring again in the 24th minute on another assist by Julio Colmenares, Paz had all three goals for HPU.

HPU was outshot 22-10 in the match and Roos committed five more fouls than Yellow Jackets in the game.

Eduardo Flores received the win in goal for HPU playing all 90 minutes, recording five saves and allowing two goals.

Howard Payne is now 1-2 on the year and Austin College stands at 1-2 overall. The Yellow Jackets will play next on Sept. 9th at the University of Dallas at 5:00 pm.
