ABILENE, Texas -- The Howard Payne University women's soccer team got a massive performance from Hannah Noel, who collected a hat trick in a 4-0 shutout victory over McMurry Thursday (Oct. 12) on the road at Wilford Moore.
Howard Payne improved to 6-5-2 overall and 2-1-2 in ASC play after the win.
Hannah Noel is now the 10th Lady Jacket to notch a hat trick and the first since Abby Harrison scored three goals versus Texas College in 2022.
How it Happened
Howard Payne took a 1-0 lead when Hannah Noel notched her first goal of the day in the 14th minute.
The Lady Jackets added another score on a goal from Brenna Douthit -- her second goal of the season -- in the 31st minute, assisted by Kendra Cecil.
Howard Payne expanded its lead to 3-0 on Noel's 77th-minute goal, her second of the night
The Lady Jackets kept McMurry off the board and grabbed a 4-0 lead with a 79th-minute goal from Noel, her final goal of the night. The score capped the 4-0 game and marked Hannah Noel's sixth goal of the season.
