BROWNWOOD, Texas -- The Howard Payne University men's soccer team notched a 3-1 victory over LeTourneau Friday (Oct. 27) at home at Citizens National Bank Field.
Howard Payne improved to 3-10-2 overall and 2-4-1 in ASC action with the win.
How it Happened
Howard Payne broke the scoreless tie when Anthony Herrera recorded his third goal of the season in the 52nd minute, assisted by Axel Kehrein.
LeTourneau evened the game on a goal from Emad Mohamed in the 80th minute, assisted by Diego Enriquez.
Howard Payne then busted up the 1-1 draw on Ethan Mauldin's 82nd-minute goal, his fourth of the season. Cristopher Castellanos assisted the goal.
The Yellow Jackets made it a 3-1 lead with an 88th-minute goal from Brandon Osborne, his first goal of the season. Taylor Hefner assisted the goal. The 3-1 score held to the finish.
Brandon Osborne led the offensive attack for HPU, registering three shots on goal including his score in the 88th-minute. Anthony Herrera added five shots with one on frame.

HPU will kick-off at 7:30 PM at Citizens National Bank Field. The Yellow Jackets are 2-1-2 in their last five and will look to claim a spot in the ASC tournament with a draw or win tomorrow.
