MARSHALL, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team made a trip to deep east Texas the is week to take on Texas A&M-Texarkana and East Texas Baptist.

On Thursday, the Yellow Jackets started the day dropping all three doubles matches 6-1, 6-3, and 6-1. The closest doubles match for the Jackets was in the number two spot with
Micah Hunter and
Jonathan Villarreal falling 6-3.
Howard Payne would drop all singles spots in straight sets.

East Texas Baptist Match
The number one HPU doubles team of
Christian Fernandez and
Nicolas Gates nearly pulled out a win falling 8-6 to start the day. HPU dropped the other two doubles matches 8-5 and 8-0.
HPU's
Sebastian Soria was the most competitive for the Yellow Jackets playing number two singles falling 6-4 and 6-4.
