BROWNWOOD, Texas – This Saturday afternoon, the Howard Payne University men's tennis team battled in a 6-3 loss to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor at HPU's Nabers Tennis Center.

Howard Payne dropped the number one double 8-3 and the number two double 8-5. The number 3 double was won by UMHB 8-5.

The Yellow Jackets picked up three additional points in singles play winning in the number four, five, and six singles spots.

Landon Ferree won in three sets in number four singles. Ferree won the second set 6-4 and the third set 10-8. Hunter Green won his number five singles match 6-3 and 6-2. Winning the number six singles, Nicolas Gates won his match 6-4 and 6-2.

Howard Payne will play again Friday, April 7^th, at 10:00 am versus University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas.
