BROWNWOOD, Texas -- Howard Payne rallied from a two-goal hole, defeating Dallas 3-2 after trailing 2-0 Friday (Sept. 15) at home at Gordon Wood Stadium.

Howard Payne improved to 1-3-0 on the season following the victory. This marks coach Brandon McGibeny's first career win at HPU.

How it Happened

Dallas broke the scoreless tie when Luke Wilmington scored in the fifth minute, assisted by Jaiden Languilli.

The Crusaders scored again on a goal from Alex Melgoza in the sixth minute, assisted by Wilmington.

Howard Payne narrowed the gap to 2-1 on Emmanuel Nshimiyimana's 13th-minute goal, his third of the season. Ethan Mauldin assisted the goal.

The Yellow Jackets evened it at 2-2 with a 31st-minute goal from Taylor Hefner, his first goal of the season..

Howard Payne busted up the 2-2 draw on Ian Bryant's first goal of the season in the 67th minute. The goal ended the 3-2 game.
