BROWNWOOD, Texas -- Howard Payne University men's soccer team fell to East Tex. Baptist 4-1 Saturday (Oct. 19) at home at Citizens National Bank Field.
Howard Payne fell to 0-11-4 overall and 0-5-1 in ASC action following the defeat.
How it Happened
East Tex. Baptist broke the scoreless tie when Junior Lopez scored in the 47th minute, assisted by Joshua Daley.
The Yellow Jackets evened the match on a goal from Ethan Mauldin -- his third goal of the season -- in the 63rd minute.
East Tex. Baptist then went on top 2-1 on Brenden Gajewski's 71st-minute goal.
The Tigers went on top 3-1 with an 82nd-minute goal from Daley.
East Tex. Baptist extended its lead to 4-1 on Bruno Palmieri's goal in the 88th minute, assisted by Daley. The game finished without another goal scored.
