BROWNWOOD, Texas -- Howard Payne University women's soccer grabbed a 2-1 victory against East Texas Baptist Saturday (Oct. 19) at home at Citizens National Bank Field.
The victory boosted Howard Payne's record to 7-7-1 overall and 3-3-0 in ASC action.
How it Happened
Howard Payne broke the scoreless tie when Brenna Douthit notched her sixth goal of the season in the 49th minute.
The Tigers evened the match on a goal from Makayla Baxter in the 67th minute, assisted by Lakin Pennington.
Howard Payne then took a 2-1 lead on Kendall Watkins' 71st-minute goal, her first of the season. Douthit assisted the goal. Neither team scored again in the match.
