ABILENE, Texas -- The Howard Payne University women's soccer team came up short against Mary Hardin-Baylor 2-1 Thursday (Nov. 7) in the Semifinal round of the 2024 ASC Women's Soccer Championship Tournament.
How it Happened
Howard Payne broke the 0-0 tie when Hannah Noel scored her third goal of the season in the 17th minute, assisted by Brenna Douthit.
The Crusaders levelled the match on a goal from Morgen Rathmell in the 55th minute, assisted by Trinity Hoffmann.
Mary Hardin-Baylor then grabbed a 2-1 lead on Hoffmann's 69th-minute goal, assisted by Peyton Floyd. The 2-1 score held to the end of the game.
