Box Score SEGUIN, Texas – The Howard Payne University men's tennis team lost 8-1 versus Texas Lutheran in Seguin, Texas on Friday.
 
Starting in doubles action, the Yellow Jackets dropped straight sets. In the number one slot, Nicolas Gates and Caleb Lambert had HPU's highest score losing 8-6.
 
In singles, Sebastian Soria was the lone man to earn a win defeating Texas Lutheran in the number two singles (6-2, 6-2). Christian Fernandez took the number one spot to three matches, ultimately losing (6-4, 2-6, 3-6). Caleb Lambert and Landon Ferree battled it out in the number four and five spots losing in three sets as well.
 
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action tomorrow as they travel to Kerrville, Texas to take on Schreiner University starting at 10:00 AM.
