BROWNWOOD, TX - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team dropped a home match 2-7 versus McMurry University on Friday at the Nabers Tennis Center. 

The Lady Jackets started the day off strong, winning two of the three doubles matches versus the Warhawks. Zoe Sprayberry and Nina Delafuente would take number two doubles 8-6 while Victoria Ramos and Lexie Nave rallied late to take the one spot 8-7. 

HPU was unable to continue their momentum from doubles, dropping all six singles in straight sets. Zoe Sprayberry had a tough outing in the number four slot losing 6-3, 2-6, 6-10. The Lady Jackets would go on to lose the match 2-7.

Howard Payne will look to bounce back tomorrow morning as they take on Austin College at 9:00 AM at the Nabers Tennis Center.
