BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team secured their first team win of the year with a 7-0 decision over Texas Lutheran University Saturday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.
The Lady Jackets started the day taking the number one doubles match 6-0 (Lightner and Ramos) and the number two doubles match 6-3 (Delafuente and Hernandez) to claim the team doubles point.
With Texas Lutheran down one player and dropping the number six singles by default, the Lady Jackets swept the singles points to win 7-0.
