SEGUIN, TX --J. Joy, K. Howard and A. Davis combined to toss a shutout on Saturday as the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs blanked the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets 13-0.

Sophomore A. Silva (0-1) started and took the loss in the circle for Howard Payne (0-1).

In the batter's box, the Yellow Jackets were paced by senior E. Munoz, who went 2-for-2 on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Howard Payne did not advance a runner past second base in the game. The Yellow Jackets went 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the third, when Munoz made it into scoring position with two outs.

SEGUIN, TX --A. White and K. Howard combined to toss a shutout on Saturday as the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs blanked the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets 6-0.

Junior D. Sanchez (0-1) got the ball to start for Howard Payne (0-2) and took the loss.

In the batter's box, the Yellow Jackets were paced by senior E. Munoz, who went 2-for-3 on the day. Junior A. Allgood compiled a standout performance as well, going 2-for-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Howard Payne managed two chances with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 1-for-5 with runners in scoring position. The Yellow Jackets last got a runner on third in the sixth, when freshman A. Smith made it 60 feet away from scoring with nobody out.
