BELTON, Texas --The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets were not able to notch a run against Mary Hardin-Baylor pitcher C. Miller on Friday and were shut out 8-0 by the Crusaders.
D. Sanchez (2-11) got the ball to start for Howard Payne (6-25, 0-11) and took the loss.
In the batter's box, the Yellow Jackets were led by A. Salazar, who went 1-for-2 on the day.

BELTON, Texas --The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets got three hits out of E. Munoz in a 9-1 loss to the Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders Friday.
A. Aviles (2-10) started and took the loss in the circle for Howard Payne (6-26, 0-12).
Munoz's three-hit day led the Yellow Jackets offensively. J. Rodriguez put together a standout performance as well, going 1-for-3 with an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Yellow Jackets got on the board immediately, starting their scoring with one run in the top of the first inning. Howard Payne got an RBI single from Rodriguez, scoring Munoz from second base. The Yellow Jackets were unable to hold the lead, as Mary Hardin-Baylor scored nine times over the remaining four innings to grab the 9-1 win.
