A Night Bigger Than Basketball as Jackets Roll to 116-Point Win

Offense Clicks as Howard Payne Cruises to Home Win on Coaches vs. Cancer Night

Howard Payne delivered one of its most explosive offensive performances of the season in a 116-76 victory over the College of Biblical Studies on Coaches vs. Cancer night at The Brownwood Coliseum. After coming off a tough loss in the previous outing, the team came out with energy and cohesion and didn't let up, leading by double digits at halftime and building steadily in the second half.

The Jackets shot a superb 58 percent from the field and were especially sharp from three, with 13 made triples fueling the offensive surge. Armonie Ramey led the charge with 21 points, and contributions came from all over the roster, including strong showings from Avant Coleman, Carter Eddy, Jordan McClendon who all scored in double figures and others, meaning every player saw meaningful minutes and helped propel the win. The bench was lively, adding 61 points and keeping the momentum rolling throughout the evening. The pre-game Coaches vs. Cancer ceremony set a special tone for the night, honoring an important cause before fans got to witness a rousing performance on the court. Howard Payne's ability to bounce back with a high-scoring output and a full team effort made the night both memorable and uplifting. The Jackets will return to action on Saturday, January 31st at 3:00pm against The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
